Prashant Kishor Leaves Rally Midway Due to Rib Injury
Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor had to cut short his public meeting in Bhojpur district on Friday after suffering a minor injury to his rib. The incident occurred while Kishor was interacting with supporters at a crowded rally venue in Arrah.
Party officials said Kishor brushed against a vehicle or pole while navigating through the crowd. He experienced immediate discomfort and was provided first aid by medical staff present at the location. He did not deliver his planned speech and left for Patna soon after the incident.
Party Clarifies: Injury Not Serious
In a statement, the Jan Suraaj Party confirmed that Kishor’s condition was stable and that the injury was not serious. “He is resting in Patna as a precaution and will resume his campaign activities after medical advice,” said a party spokesperson.
There was no need for hospitalization, and the party ruled out any foul play or security concern, attributing the injury to accidental crowd pressure at the rally site.
Campaign Activities Temporarily Paused
Following the incident, upcoming events in Bhojpur and nearby districts have been temporarily paused. Campaign managers are expected to adjust schedules until Kishor receives clearance to return to public engagements.
Despite the minor setback, the Jan Suraaj Party reiterated its commitment to contest all 243 seats in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Kishor, a well-known political strategist, has been actively touring the state as part of his grassroots outreach.
What’s Next
Doctors are monitoring Kishor’s recovery, and the party will announce the revised campaign schedule based on his health. Supporters have sent messages wishing him a speedy recovery, while party workers continue preparations for upcoming rallies.
