Prashant Kishor Declares Assets Worth ₹96 Crore
Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor has declared assets worth ₹96.06 crore in his election affidavit filed for the Bankipur Assembly bypoll in Bihar. His wife, Dr Jahanvi Das, has separately declared assets valued at ₹101.93 crore.

Kishor’s declared holdings include movable assets worth ₹22.19 crore and immovable properties valued at ₹73.87 crore.
His financial portfolio includes investments in private companies, bank fixed deposits and other market-linked instruments. His property holdings include residential premises in Patna, New Delhi and Ghaziabad, ancestral property and a dismantled rice mill spread across more than three acres in Bihar’s Rohtas district.
His wife has declared movable assets worth ₹89.51 crore and immovable assets valued at ₹12.42 crore. Their combined declared assets amount to nearly ₹198 crore.
Eight Pending Cases Listed in Affidavit
Kishor has disclosed eight pending criminal cases, most of which were registered during 2024 and 2025.
The cases involve allegations including unlawful assembly, rioting, obstruction of public servants, criminal conspiracy and defamation. The affidavit states that Kishor has not been convicted and that formal charges have not been framed against him.
Some matters are undergoing legal review, while several defamation complaints remain at preliminary stages before courts.
Bankipur Bypoll Marks Electoral Debut
Kishor filed his nomination for the Bankipur bypoll on July 13, marking his first direct contest as an election candidate after years as a political strategist.
He will face BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha and Jan Janata Dal candidate Veena Manvi. Bankipur was represented by BJP leader Nitin Nabin before the seat became vacant following his election to the Rajya Sabha.
Voting is scheduled for July 30, while counting will take place on August 3.
