PM Modi Warns Of Global Fuel Supply Crisis

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday warned that the ongoing turmoil in parts of the world, especially in West Asia, could worsen fuel supply pressures and trigger a broader petrol and diesel crisis. Speaking during the 132nd episode of Mann Ki Baat, he said the situation remains serious but added that India is in a relatively stronger position to manage the challenge.

PM Modi Warns Of Global Fuel Supply Pressure

Modi said the month of March had seen continued conflict and instability in several regions, with West Asia remaining a major concern because of its importance to global energy supplies. He said the developing international situation was creating stress on fuel availability and could affect petrol and diesel supplies across many countries. His remarks linked geopolitical tensions directly to the risk of wider energy disruption.

India Says It Is Better Prepared For Fuel Challenges

While raising the warning, the Prime Minister also said India has improved its preparedness over the years through stronger international engagement and long-term planning. He suggested that these efforts have placed the country in a better position than before to deal with possible supply shocks. He also urged people not to panic and to rely on official information as the government continues to assess the situation.

Mann Ki Baat Also Highlights Public Campaigns

Apart from the fuel issue, the Mann Ki Baat broadcast covered several other topics. Modi spoke about the need for unity during uncertain times and encouraged citizens to support national efforts calmly and responsibly. He also referred to the Gyan Bharatam Survey, promoted fitness ahead of International Day of Yoga, and called for reduced sugar and cooking oil consumption. The programme additionally touched on sports, education, water conservation, and community participation.
