PM Modi To Begin Five-Nation Tour
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for a five-nation foreign tour on Friday, with the United Arab Emirates as his first stop before travelling to the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy.
PM Modi UAE Visit To Focus On Energy
Modi will meet UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during the first leg of the tour. The talks are expected to focus on energy cooperation, trade, investment and regional developments amid continuing tensions in West Asia.
The UAE remains one of India’s key strategic partners, with strong links in energy, trade and the Indian diaspora.
India-Nordic Summit In Norway
After visiting the UAE, the Netherlands and Sweden, Modi will travel to Norway for the India-Nordic Summit. The meeting had earlier been postponed following the Pahalgam terror attack.
The summit is expected to focus on clean energy, technology, innovation, trade, investment and cooperation with Nordic countries.
Europe Visit To Boost Trade Ties
The European leg of the tour comes as India looks to strengthen trade and investment relations with key partners. The Netherlands and Sweden are important economic partners for India, especially in sectors such as ports, logistics, technology, manufacturing and green energy.
Modi will also travel to Italy during the final leg of the tour, where talks are expected to cover bilateral cooperation and wider global issues.
Five-Nation Tour Amid Global Tensions
The tour comes at a time of geopolitical uncertainty, rising energy concerns and pressure on global supply chains. India is expected to use the visit to strengthen diplomatic engagement, protect energy interests and deepen economic partnerships across West Asia and Europe.
