PM Modi Participates in Swachhta Abhiyan, Urges Citizens to Join
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi actively took part in the Swachhta Abhiyan, a nationwide cleanliness campaign, alongside the youth of the nation. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and urged all citizens to engage in cleanliness-related activities throughout the day as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s vision for a clean India.
Prime Minister’s Call to Action
In a post shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), PM Modi highlighted his participation in the Swachh Bharat Mission on Gandhi Jayanti. He encouraged people to strengthen the cleanliness movement by contributing in their own ways, thereby keeping the spirit of Swachh Bharat alive.
“Today, on Gandhi Jayanti, I took part in Swachhata related activities with my young friends. I urge you all to also take part in some or the other such activity during the day and at the same time, keep strengthening the Swachh Bharat Mission. #10YearsOfSwachhBharat,” the Prime Minister posted.
10 Years of Swachh Bharat Mission
The Swachh Bharat Mission, launched in 2014, marks its 10th anniversary this year. The mission aims to create a cleaner and healthier India by eliminating open defecation, improving sanitation facilities, and raising awareness about cleanliness. The initiative has inspired millions of citizens to adopt better hygiene practices and participate in cleanliness drives across the country.
