PM Modi Kerala Projects Worth Rs 10,800 Crore

In Kerala, the Prime Minister will launch and lay the foundation stone for multiple projects worth around Rs 10,800 crore in Ernakulam. The package includes major works linked to petroleum and natural gas infrastructure, along with connectivity-related development. Modi is also expected to address a public gathering during the programme, with the visit being positioned as part of the Centre’s broader push on infrastructure expansion in the state.

Tamil Nadu Projects Worth Rs 5,650 Crore

In Tamil Nadu, Modi will launch projects worth about Rs 5,650 crore in Tiruchirappalli. These projects include works in rural connectivity and highway development, aimed at improving transport movement and strengthening links between urban and semi-urban areas. The Tamil Nadu leg of the visit also includes a public address, with the Centre highlighting the economic and logistics impact of the new investments.

Five New Train Services To Be Flagged Off

A key part of the visit will be the launch of five new train services. These include two Amrit Bharat Express trains, two express trains and one passenger train service. The Nagercoil-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express is expected to improve connectivity between southern Tamil Nadu and Telangana, while the Podanur-Dhanbad Amrit Bharat Express will strengthen links between southern India and the eastern industrial belt. The other services are the Rameswaram-Mangaluru Express, Tirunelveli-Mangaluru Express, and the Mayiladuthurai-Thiruvarur-Karaikkudi passenger train. These additions are expected to support both passenger movement and regional economic activity.
