Republic Day Celebrations Across India
Republic Day is observed annually on January 26 to mark the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950. The main national celebrations were held at Kartavya Path in New Delhi, where the traditional parade showcased India’s military capabilities, cultural diversity, and developmental progress. President Droupadi Murmu presided over the ceremony.
The parade featured marching contingents from the armed forces, tableaux representing states and Union Territories, and cultural performances reflecting India’s heritage and unity. Across the country, governors, chief ministers, and local administrations organised flag hoisting ceremonies and public events, highlighting democratic values, national pride, and India’s journey as a republic.
