PM Modi Condemns Sydney Terror Attack
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 14 condemned the terror attack in Sydney and said India stands in solidarity with Australia. In a message posted online, Mr. Modi expressed condolences to the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, while reiterating India’s policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism.
The Prime Minister’s remarks came after a shooting incident in the Bondi area of Sydney triggered a major emergency response and wide public concern. Australian authorities said the situation was brought under control after police action and an investigation was launched to establish the motive, the sequence of events, and the number of people affected.
Investigation Continues After Sydney Incident
Officials in Australia continued to assess the incident, with police appealing for witnesses and footage to support the inquiry. Security was tightened in and around the affected area as forensic teams carried out checks and authorities issued public advisories.
