PM Modi Chairs NDA CMs’ Meet, Focuses on Unity & Growth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a significant meeting with Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on May 25, 2025, in New Delhi. The gathering aimed to consolidate alliance-wide strategies around national development, security, and inclusive governance, while also reflecting on recent initiatives and future goals leading to the centenary of Indian independence in 2047.

Operation Sindoor and National Security Coordination

A major highlight of the meeting was Operation Sindoor, India’s recent cross-border counter-terrorism operation that has received wide public and political support. PM Modi praised the successful execution of the operation and stressed that security efforts must remain proactive and resolute across all states.

He called on NDA-ruled states to remain vigilant and continue close coordination with central agencies to thwart any threats to national sovereignty. The emphasis on internal security showcased the government’s resolve to maintain stability amid regional and cross-border challenges.

Caste Census and Social Inclusion

Another important item on the agenda was the discussion around conducting a national caste census. The issue, seen as crucial for formulating targeted welfare and representation policies, saw constructive dialogue among Chief Ministers.

The Prime Minister encouraged the gathering to approach the idea with national interest in mind, weighing the need for data-driven governance with social cohesion. Several NDA leaders expressed support, linking it to more equitable policy planning and socio-economic justice.

State-Led Initiatives and Economic Vision

The meeting also served as a platform for NDA states to present flagship schemes and economic strategies aligned with India’s long-term developmental goals.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav shared the state’s plan to contribute $2 trillion to India’s vision of a $30 trillion economy by 2047. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai showcased local cultural models such as the Bastar Olympics and the Pandum tribal festival, highlighting efforts to integrate tribal communities through sports and tradition.

These contributions were welcomed as part of the larger “Viksit Bharat 2047” initiative, aimed at holistic development through local empowerment.

Centre-State Synergy for Viksit Bharat

The conclave concluded with a strong emphasis on Centre-State collaboration. PM Modi reiterated the importance of cooperative federalism, urging states to adopt successful governance models from one another, remove policy bottlenecks, and speed up welfare delivery.

He called for a unified national outlook where regional strengths are aligned with the central vision for a developed India. “Every state must become a pillar in India’s growth story,” the Prime Minister stated.

With major themes like national security, inclusive development, and economic foresight discussed, the NDA Chief Ministers’ meeting reinforced a shared vision of building a strong and self-reliant India by 2047.
