PM Modi Begins Three-Nation Tour Starting With Jordan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday embarked on a three-nation official visit, beginning with Jordan, as part of India’s continued diplomatic engagement with West Asia. The visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing strategic cooperation, and discussing regional and global developments with partner nations.

In Jordan, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold talks with the country’s leadership focusing on trade, investment, defence cooperation, and people-to-people ties. India and Jordan share long-standing relations, particularly in areas such as education, cultural exchange, and cooperation in multilateral forums.

Focus on Regional Stability and Cooperation

The three-nation tour is expected to cover key issues including regional security, economic collaboration, energy partnerships, and developments in West Asia. Officials said discussions will also include global challenges such as conflict resolution, counter-terrorism, and economic stability.

India has steadily expanded its diplomatic footprint in the region, with growing engagement in trade, technology, and defence. The visit comes at a time of heightened geopolitical activity in West Asia, making diplomatic dialogue particularly significant.

Strengthening India’s Global Outreach

The Prime Minister’s meetings are expected to build on existing partnerships and explore new areas of cooperation. India has described the visit as part of its broader effort to deepen ties with strategically important regions and reinforce its role as a key global partner.

The remaining legs of the visit will include engagements with leadership in two other countries, where similar discussions on bilateral and regional issues are planned.
