PM Inaugurates Delhi BJP Office
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s new Delhi office on Deendayal Upadhyay Marg, calling it a “Centre for public service.” The move ends a 45-year wait for the Delhi BJP to have a permanent headquarters.
New BJP Headquarters
The newly constructed building has five floors and features two basement parking levels. It replaces the older 14 Pant Marg bungalow, which served as Delhi BJP’s base for over three decades. Authorities say the new address will serve as a “Sanskar Kendra,” a place to train and educate party workers.
PM’s Address
In his address at the opening ceremony, Modi said that since 2014, governance reforms have reduced tax burdens on ordinary households. He encouraged staffers to promote “swadeshi” goods and reduce dependence on foreign imports. He also praised Delhi BJP workers for their role in historic struggles, including during the Emergency, and emphasized that the new office is more than bricks—it is symbolic.
Reactions & Significance
Delhi BJP leaders welcomed the move, calling the new office a boost to public service and party morale. With this establishment, BJP’s Delhi unit now has its own infrastructure rather than operating from government-owned buildings.
