Over 10 Lakh Appointments Since 2022

With this round of job distribution, the total number of central government appointments under the Rozgar Mela initiative has crossed 10 lakh since its launch in October 2022. The scheme aims to fill vacancies efficiently and strengthen public service delivery through timely recruitment in departments like Railways, Defence, Health, Home Affairs, Labour, and Finance.

PM Emphasises Youth Empowerment

In his address, Prime Minister Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to empowering youth and building a skilled workforce. He called the youth India’s greatest asset and said that the Rozgar Mela is part of a broader strategy to make the country self-reliant and economically stronger.

Job Creation Beyond the Public Sector

The Prime Minister also highlighted employment opportunities being created in the private sector. Through schemes like the Employment Linked Incentive, the government is encouraging businesses to expand their workforce. Initiatives under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme have also generated significant private sector employment, especially in manufacturing and defence sectors.

Candidates Express Joy

Candidates who received appointment letters expressed pride and gratitude. Many events saw senior officials and ministers personally handing over appointment letters and encouraging recruits to contribute to national development.
