Parbhani Temple Roof Collapse Kills Five
At least five devotees were killed and several others injured after the roof of an under-construction temple collapsed in Maharashtra’s Parbhani district on Saturday, triggering a major rescue operation.

The incident took place at Yashwadi village in Manavat taluka, where construction work was underway at a temple. A large number of devotees had gathered at the site when a portion of the roof suddenly collapsed, trapping several people under the debris.
Initial reports said around 20 people were feared trapped, but officials later said those stuck under the rubble had been rescued. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The death toll was later reported at five, while more than a dozen people sustained injuries. Rescue teams, police personnel, local authorities and residents joined the effort to remove debris and pull out those trapped.
The exact cause of the collapse is yet to be officially confirmed. However, preliminary information suggested that the structure was still under construction when it gave way. Officials are expected to examine whether construction safety norms were followed at the site.

Emergency services rushed to the temple after the collapse was reported. Ambulances were deployed to move the injured to hospitals, while heavy equipment was used to clear the site.
