Pakistan Shifts Terror Launchpads Inland After Sindoor

Pakistan has moved dozens of terrorist launchpads away from areas close to the International Border after India’s Operation Sindoor, according to senior Border Security Force officials. The operation, conducted earlier this year, targeted cross-border terrorist infrastructure and resulted in significant damage to several sites.

BSF Reports Over 70 Launchpads Relocated

Officials said more than 70 launchpads have now been shifted to interior locations inside Pakistan. Around a dozen are reportedly positioned deeper within Sialkot and Zaffarwal regions, while the rest have been moved further inland. The BSF noted that many of these launchpads remain dormant and are activated only when infiltration attempts are planned.

India Maintains High Vigilance

The BSF has reinforced surveillance across sensitive stretches of the border amid concerns that deeper-positioned launchpads could make infiltration attempts harder to detect. The force has also indicated readiness for a follow-up operation, informally referred to as Operation Sindoor 2.0, if the government orders it.

Security Concerns Continue

The shift has raised fresh security challenges, with agencies assessing how the new locations may influence infiltration routes and threat patterns along the border.
