Pakistan Claims India Using Afghanistan as Terror Base
Pakistan has again accused India of using Afghan territory to plot terror attacks, a claim strongly denied by both New Delhi and Kabul.
Accusation from Islamabad
Pakistani officials called the claim a “lie machine” operating from Delhi. They assert that militant outfits targeting Pakistan are being backed and staged from Afghanistan with India’s support.
India and Taliban Reject the Charge
India sharply dismissed the allegations, saying there is no evidence to support them. Afghanistan’s Taliban government also rejected the claims, insisting it does not permit its soil to be used for attacks against any country.
Roots of the Dispute
Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have grown over accusations that Pakistan’s Taliban (TTP) operate from bases inside Afghan territory. Pakistan often seeks Afghan cooperation against these groups, but Kabul has denied harboring them.
Observers note that making unsubstantiated claims heightens distrust in the region. Without clear proof, such accusations risk being dismissed as propaganda rather than serious diplomacy.
