Pakistan Air Strike Kills Civilians In Afghanistan

The Taliban administration has accused Pakistan of carrying out an air strike in Khost province that killed nine children and one woman. Officials said the attack hit a residential home in the Ger-Bzwo area on Monday night, destroying the structure and killing members of the same family. Four other civilians were reportedly injured in additional strikes in Kunar and Paktika provinces.

Pakistan Yet To Comment

Pakistan has not issued an official response to the allegations. Independent verification of the incident remains limited, and no statement has been released by Pakistan’s military or foreign ministry. The Taliban insists the victims were civilians and has called the strike a violation of Afghan sovereignty.

Border Tensions Rising

The latest incident comes amid heightened tensions along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border. A ceasefire agreed in October has been repeatedly tested by cross-border attacks, militant activity and retaliatory operations. Analysts warn that civilian deaths could further strain relations and increase the risk of retaliatory violence.
