Operation Trashi-I Enters Day 13 in Kishtwar
Security forces continued Operation Trashi-I for the 13th consecutive day in the Chatroo and Chingam areas of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir, searching for suspected terrorists believed to be hiding in the dense forest and snow-bound terrain.
Internet Services Suspended
Authorities suspended mobile internet services in parts of Kishtwar, including Chatroo and Singhpora, to support the ongoing anti-terror operation. Officials said the temporary shutdown is meant to prevent misuse of communications and ensure smoother coordination among security units.
No Confirmation of Contact
Security sources reported that no confirmed contact has been made with the suspected militants so far. Troops, including Army, paramilitary and police forces, are combing difficult terrain under challenging weather conditions.
Local Precautions and Safety
Residents in affected villages have been advised to avoid movement in forested areas and cooperate with security forces. Checkpoints and patrols have been increased to maintain law and order as the operation continues.
