Operation Sindoor: India Refutes Pak Claims on S400, BrahMos Damage

Amid the ongoing Operation Sindoor, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi has categorically dismissed Pakistan’s claims of having inflicted damage on critical Indian military infrastructure, calling it a desperate and false misinformation campaign. Addressing the media on Saturday, Colonel Qureshi directly countered several narratives pushed by Pakistani sources regarding alleged hits on India’s missile and air defence systems.

Pakistan claimed that it damaged our S400 and Brahmos missile base with its JF-17, which is completely wrong,” she stated, rubbishing assertions that Pakistan’s fighter jets had successfully struck or impaired any strategic Indian defence assets.

No Damage to Key Airfields, Ammo Depots

Colonel Qureshi also rejected claims that Pakistani strikes had damaged important Indian airbases. “Secondly, it also ran a misinformation campaign that our airfields in Sirsa, Jammu, Pathankot, Bhatinda, Nalia, and Bhuj were damaged, and its misinformation is also completely wrong,” she clarified.

She further addressed false reports suggesting that Indian ammunition depots in Chandigarh and Vyas had been hit. According to the Indian Army, these installations remain fully operational and undamaged, and there has been no disruption to their functionality.

The clarification aims to counter Pakistan’s narrative in global media and to assure the Indian public of the robustness and preparedness of the country’s defence apparatus.

Army Upholds Secular Values Amid Propaganda

Responding to Pakistani claims that the Indian Army had targeted mosques, Colonel Qureshi issued a strong rebuttal. “I want to make it very clear that India is a secular nation and our army is a very beautiful reflection of the constitutional value of India,” she said, underscoring the Indian Armed Forces’ commitment to ethical conduct and religious neutrality during operations.

The remarks come as part of a broader Indian strategy to expose and dismantle Pakistan’s propaganda campaign, which appears aimed at masking internal failures and fabricating a counter-narrative amid India’s successful strikes during Operation Sindoor.

As tensions continue, Indian officials reaffirm that while military operations will remain focused and precise, so too will efforts to protect the truth from being buried under an avalanche of misinformation.
