Operation Sindoor Exposes Pakistan’s Terror Links: Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has declared that Operation Sindoor has “blown the cover” off Pakistan’s long-denied role in sponsoring terrorism against India. Speaking at the Border Security Force (BSF) Investiture Ceremony and the Rustamji Memorial Lecture in New Delhi, Shah called the operation a calibrated and precise response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians on April 22, 2025.
“Operation Sindoor is Bharat’s response to the brutal killing of innocent citizens in Pahalgam. It has exposed Pakistan’s blood-stained alliance with terrorism.”
A Direct Strike After Pahalgam Attack
Shah revealed that Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, targeted nine terrorist camps deep within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The camps belonged to terror outfits such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, groups long held responsible for attacks on Indian soil.
He emphasized the precision of the Indian strikes, crediting the armed forces for delivering a “clear and powerful response” that has created panic within Pakistan’s military and terror ecosystem. These strikes were not symbolic but strategic, aimed at erasing infrastructure and launching pads used by terrorists to infiltrate into Indian territory.
Pakistan’s Reaction Confirms Its Terror Nexus
According to Shah, the clearest evidence of Pakistan’s complicity came not from intercepted communications, but from its own military’s actions. “Their generals attended the funerals of the terrorists we eliminated. What more proof does the world need?” he asked.
He further stated that Pakistan’s response to the strikes—attempts to hit Indian civilian and military sites—was neutralized swiftly by India’s air defense systems. These intercepted attempts, Shah said, demonstrated the desperation and embarrassment faced by Islamabad after the operation’s success.
India’s Terror Policy: No Compromise, No Backchannels
Reinforcing the government’s national security doctrine, Shah stated that India’s policy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is crystal clear—no negotiation with terror proxies, and no tolerance for cross-border threats. “There will be no backchannels, no appeasement, and no third-party mediators,” he affirmed.
He credited the Indian armed forces and intelligence agencies for their operational excellence and underlined that Operation Sindoor reflects not just military precision, but political will. “Modi ji has given the army a free hand—and what you saw on May 7 is what that free hand can deliver,” he said.
