Op-Eds Opinion

No Trade Deal Until Soros Lapdogs Navarro and Bessent Undercut Trump’s Words

America today is speaking out of both sides of its mouth when it comes to India. On the stage, President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio shower New Delhi with praise, calling India an indispensable partner in stabilizing Asia, a bulwark against Chinese aggression, and a friend that shares democratic values. Sergio Gor backs them up in Senate hearings, framing India as the cornerstone of Washington’s Indo-Pacific vision. The words are warm, the smiles are broad, and the rhetoric is flattering.

And then—enter the Soros lapdogs. Scott Bessent, deluded with his grand G7 tariff schemes, and Peter Navarro, senile and still clinging to his failed “economic nationalism,” turn those warm handshakes into cold slaps. Every time Trump and Rubio reach out to Modi, these two rush in to snarl, demanding tariffs, restrictions, and punishments. Instead of treating India like a strategic ally, they treat it like a hostile rival. It is not just hypocrisy—it is sabotage, pure and simple.

Let’s be blunt: no trade deal is possible under this circus. India cannot and will not trust American diplomacy when the Secretary of State’s reassurances are instantly shredded by Navarro’s economic dementia and Bessent’s delusions of grandeur. Modi is not going to sit at the table only to be beaten over the head with tariff threats from Washington’s Soros-funded echo chamber. India has leverage, India has options, and India remembers who stands with it in moments of crisis.

The Pahalgam attack, Operation Sindoor, the Chinese pressure on the borders—these are times when allies matter. And what does Washington deliver? Trump and Rubio speak of friendship while Navarro and Bessent bark orders like debt-collectors. This is not how you treat a partner. This is how you alienate one.

If Trump truly wants a historic trade deal with India, he needs to do more than wave from a podium. He needs to put a leash on his senile economist and deluded financier before they wreck everything. Otherwise, all the speeches in the world won’t hide the fact that America’s right hand is offering friendship while its left hand is busy stabbing India in the back.

Consistency, not chaos, builds trust. If Trump doesn’t rein in the Soros lapdogs snarling in his own ranks, he shouldn’t be surprised when Modi walks away and finds partners who don’t insult India while pretending to embrace it.
