Nitish Reddy Ruled Out of England Tests

Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remainder of the Test series against England after suffering a ligament injury in his left knee. The injury occurred during a gym session, and the 22-year-old has been advised to return home for rehabilitation under the care of the BCCI medical team.

Arshdeep Singh Also Injured

India’s pace department was dealt another blow as Arshdeep Singh sustained a thumb injury while bowling during a practice session. While the extent of his injury is still under review, he will miss the upcoming fourth Test at Manchester. Arshdeep, yet to debut in the series, will be monitored for recovery ahead of the final Test.

BCCI Drafts Anshul Kamboj as Replacement

To compensate for the injury setbacks, the Indian team has added Anshul Kamboj, a fast bowler with a strong domestic and IPL record, to the squad. Kamboj has already joined the team in Manchester and is expected to provide backup support in the seam department.

Pace Options Thin Ahead of Crucial Match

With Akash Deep also nursing a niggle, India’s fast-bowling options are now limited. Senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah, whose workload was being carefully managed, may have to take on a heavier role. Team management is likely to reconsider its playing XI balance with possible inclusion of additional spinners or all-rounders.

Test Series at Critical Stage

India trails 1–2 in the five-match series heading into the fourth Test, which begins July 23 in Manchester. With just two matches left, the team faces added pressure to level the series while managing fitness issues. The final squad selection will be closely watched as India aims to bounce back and keep the series alive.
