Netanyahu publicly thanked PM Modi following their August 6 conversation, describing the Indian leader as a friend and saying the two countries would continue strengthening their relationship.
The exchange reflected continued high-level engagement between New Delhi and Tel Aviv as the two governments expand cooperation under the India-Israel Special Strategic Partnership.
India-Israel Strategic Partnership Reviewed
During the phone call, PM Modi and Netanyahu reviewed progress across several areas of bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties for the mutual benefit of both countries.
India and Israel cooperate extensively in defence, agriculture, technology, innovation, cybersecurity, water management and trade.
The relationship was elevated to a Special Strategic Partnership for Peace, Innovation and Prosperity during PM Modi’s visit to Israel in February 2026, expanding the scope of cooperation between the two countries.

The two leaders also exchanged views on recent developments in West Asia, where continuing security and diplomatic tensions remain a major regional concern.
