NEET Paper Setters Kept In Lockdown

Experts involved in preparing the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination paper have been placed under strict lockdown until the retest, as authorities move to prevent any fresh leak or breach in the medical entrance exam process.

NEET Re-Exam Paper Setters In Lockdown

The experts responsible for setting, moderating and translating the NEET-UG re-exam paper have been kept at a secure undisclosed location. Their movement and communication are being tightly restricted as part of a wider security protocol for the retest.

The measure comes after the original NEET-UG 2026 examination was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak, triggering nationwide concern among students and parents.

NEET-UG 2026 Re-Exam Security

Authorities have introduced a multi-layered security system for the re-examination, including tighter monitoring of paper preparation, printing, logistics and examination centre arrangements. The aim is to ensure that the question paper remains protected until the exam is conducted.

The National Testing Agency has also released city intimation slips for candidates appearing in the retest, allowing them to plan travel before the final admit cards are issued.

NEET Paper Leak Concerns

The lockdown of paper setters reflects the pressure on exam authorities after repeated concerns over the integrity of competitive examinations. With lakhs of medical aspirants affected by the cancellation, the re-exam is being treated as a high-security exercise.

The NEET-UG 2026 re-examination is scheduled for June 21. Authorities are expected to maintain strict surveillance until the test is completed.
