Multiple Delhi Schools Evacuated Over Bomb Threats
Several schools in Delhi, including DPS Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, and some schools in Najafgarh, received bomb threat phone calls on the morning of September 20, 2025. Students and staff were immediately evacuated as police and bomb disposal squads responded.
Safety Measures & School Responses
Exams that were scheduled for the day at some schools, such as DPS Dwarka, were postponed. Security checks including full searches of school premises were conducted. School transport was suspended, and parents were asked to pick up their children from school stops or directly from campuses.
Past Incidents and Protocols
This is not the first time Delhi schools have faced similar threats. Authorities say more than 150 schools and colleges in the Delhi-NCR region have received bomb threat calls or emails in the past eight months, with each case triggering precautionary evacuations though none have yielded any explosive devices.
Investigation Underway
Police and bomb disposal squads are investigating the origin and credibility of the threats. So far, no suspicious item has been found. The cases are being treated with high priority given the risk to student safety.
