Modi Says Gulf Nations Protecting Indians

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said Gulf countries were giving priority to the safety of Indians amid the ongoing West Asia conflict, while accusing the Congress of making statements that could endanger Indian nationals living in the region. He made the remarks at a rally in Palakkad, Kerala, where he also said the Centre was working to shield India from the effects of the crisis.

PM Modi On Safety Of Indians In Gulf

Modi said protecting Indian citizens in conflict-affected areas remains a top priority for the government. He said Indian embassies were working continuously to assist those in affected regions and added that India was closely monitoring the situation. He also said he had remained in regular contact with leaders of countries impacted by the conflict.

Gulf Nations Prioritising Indian Nationals

Referring particularly to people from Kerala working in Gulf countries, Modi said governments in the region were also prioritising the safety of Indians caught in war-affected zones. He said steps were being taken to ensure Indian workers and their families do not face unnecessary hardship as the conflict continues to affect daily life and regional stability.

PM Modi Attacks Congress Over Statements

The Prime Minister also criticised the Congress, alleging that the party was politicising a highly sensitive issue. He said remarks made by the opposition were irresponsible and could place nearly one crore Indians living in Gulf countries at risk. Modi also extended his criticism to the Left, using the speech to attack both parties over their handling of governance and public issues.
