Mahindra Records Highest-Ever Monthly SUV Sales in October
Mahindra Auto celebrated a record-breaking sales performance in October 2024, selling 54,504 SUVs, marking a 25% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to the same month last year.
With the onset of the festive season in October, from Navratri through Diwali, the automaker achieved unprecedented demand for its vehicles.
Mahindra’s Strong Sales Surge
October 2024 set a new record for Mahindra, as the automaker posted a total volume of 96,648 units, which includes SUV sales, commercial vehicles, and exports. The domestic sales for commercial vehicles reached 28,812 units. This remarkable performance underscores Mahindra’s robust presence in the Indian auto market.
Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., highlighted the success, expressing excitement over “clocking the highest-ever SUV sales of 54,504 vehicles in October, a growth of 25%.” He further emphasized the brand’s momentum through the festive season, boosted by popular models like the Thar ROXX, which attracted massive interest.
Thar ROXX Breaks Records with Massive Bookings
Mahindra’s newly launched Thar ROXX has become a significant contributor to its sales surge. The Thar ROXX garnered 1.67 lakh bookings within the first 60 minutes of its release, showcasing the model’s popularity. Alongside the Thar, other Mahindra SUVs like the Scorpio Classic, Scorpio-N, Bolero, Bolero Neo, XUV700, XUV400, and XUV3XO have also recorded high sales across segments, reflecting Mahindra’s growing appeal among Indian SUV enthusiasts.
With its successful sales figures, Mahindra continues to solidify its position in the SUV market, driven by innovation, timely releases, and a strong customer response. The automaker’s consistent performance and diversified lineup underscore its foothold in India’s competitive automotive landscape.
