Machado Says She Will Lead Venezuela in the Future

Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado has said she intends to lead the country “when the right time comes,” reaffirming her political ambitions despite ongoing restrictions and uncertainty over Venezuela’s electoral process.

Political Stand and Message

Machado said she remains committed to democratic change in Venezuela and believes she has the backing of citizens who want political reform. She stressed that her goal is to assume leadership through constitutional and electoral means, rather than through external intervention or backroom arrangements.

Current Situation

Machado has been barred from holding public office under existing political conditions, a move criticised by sections of the opposition and international observers. Despite this, she continues to position herself as a central figure in Venezuela’s opposition movement and has ruled out stepping away from politics.

Outlook

The opposition leader said the timing of her leadership would depend on when Venezuela is able to hold genuinely free and fair elections. She maintained that political change in the country is inevitable and that she is prepared to take responsibility when circumstances allow.
