Kulgam Encounter Enters Second Day

Heavy firing between security forces and militants continued for a second day in the forested Guddar area of Kulgam district. The encounter resumed early Tuesday after a pause overnight.

Casualties Confirmed

Four militants were also killed, including one identified local and another suspected Pakistani national known as “Rehman Bhai.”

The operation began after intelligence inputs indicated militant presence in the region. The Indian Army, CRPF, and J&K Police are jointly conducting the search. Security forces continue to comb the dense forest to locate any remaining militants.
