KN Rajanna Resigns, Cites Conspiracy Behind Dissent
Karnataka Cooperation Minister KN Rajanna resigned from the state cabinet on Monday after alleging irregularities in the electoral roll under the Congress-led government. His remarks about “vote chori” happening “right in front of our eyes” drew strong backlash within the party.
“Huge Conspiracy” Behind Removal
Soon after stepping down, Rajanna claimed there was a “huge conspiracy” behind his exit, stating he knew those responsible and would reveal more details in the coming days. He said he planned to meet Rahul Gandhi and other senior Congress leaders in Delhi to address what he called “misunderstandings.”
Party High Command Acts
The Congress high command reportedly directed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to ensure Rajanna’s removal, citing a breach of party discipline. Discussions are underway on further action, including the possibility of expulsion from the party.
