Kiren Rijiju Rejects 60 Km China Incursion Claim

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has rejected claims that Chinese forces entered 60 km inside Arunachal Pradesh, calling the allegation incorrect. He acknowledged increased Chinese activity in some border areas but said the central issue remains the absence of a fully delineated boundary along parts of the India-China frontier.

Rijiju Rejects 60 Km China Incursion Claim

Rijiju said it was wrong to suggest that China had recently entered 60 km inside Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh.

His remarks followed reports of an alleged Chinese incursion in Upper Subansiri district, where local residents had raised concerns about activity near the Taksing circle along the Line of Actual Control.

The minister said concerns expressed by villagers living near the frontier should be taken seriously but warned against circulating misleading videos and unverified claims.

Arunachal Border Remains Undemarcated

Rijiju stressed that the India-China border across Arunachal Pradesh is extensive and has never been completely demarcated on the ground.

He said the historical boundary between India and Tibet was never formally delineated in several areas, contributing to differing perceptions of the Line of Actual Control.

The minister acknowledged that Chinese activity has increased in certain areas and said Beijing began developing roads and other infrastructure along the frontier earlier than India.

Rijiju Warns Against False Border Videos

Rijiju also alleged that unrelated videos, including footage originating from Bangladesh, had been circulated online to support claims of Chinese incursions.

He warned that misinformation surrounding sensitive border issues could create confusion and affect the morale of Indian security forces.

India has significantly accelerated infrastructure development in Arunachal Pradesh and other border regions in recent years as strategic competition with China continues.
