North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s teenage daughter Kim Ju Ae has appeared in fresh state media images driving a tank during a military drill in Pyongyang, adding to growing attention around her increasingly visible public role.

The latest images showed Ju Ae inside the driver’s hatch of a tank while Kim Jong Un stood behind her during what North Korean state media described as an offensive tactical drill. The visuals were released after the exercise and quickly drew international attention because Ju Ae has rarely been shown in such a direct military setting before.

According to state media reporting, the drill involved a new type of tank that was presented as having stronger offensive and defensive capabilities, including improved protection against drones and anti-tank missiles. Kim Ju Ae Public Role Expands
Ju Ae, believed by outside analysts to be around 13 years old, has been seen more frequently in recent months at military and strategic events. Earlier this month, she was photographed at a firing range holding a rifle, and on another occasion she was shown using a handgun. North Korea has not officially confirmed her name or age, but repeated appearances alongside Kim Jong Un have strengthened outside discussion about her possible future role in the regime.
