Kejriwal Dismisses AAP-Congress Alliance for Delhi Elections
Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP leader, has categorically ruled out any alliance with the Congress for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
Addressing party workers and supporters on Friday, Kejriwal emphasized AAP’s commitment to contesting the polls independently, asserting confidence in the party’s ability to secure a majority on its own.
“There Will Be No Alliance”
Kejriwal made his stance clear, stating, “There will be no alliance. The Aam Aadmi Party will fight the elections alone and win.” He criticized Congress for its failure to address pressing issues and questioned its capability to provide effective governance, reiterating that AAP’s focus remains on its developmental agenda for Delhi.
AAP’s Strategy for the Polls
The AAP leader highlighted his party’s track record, pointing to initiatives in education, healthcare, and public welfare. Kejriwal urged voters to trust AAP to continue its governance model without external political ties. He also dismissed speculation surrounding potential tie-ups, calling them baseless and politically motivated.
Opposition’s Response
Congress leaders have refrained from commenting extensively on Kejriwal’s announcement, maintaining a neutral stance. Political analysts believe this development could lead to a three-way contest in Delhi, potentially reshaping the electoral dynamics in the capital.
AAP’s decision to rule out alliances reinforces its strategy of relying on grassroots support and policy-driven campaigns, setting the stage for an intense electoral battle in the upcoming polls.
