Karnataka Leaders Hold Breakfast Meet Amid Tussle
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar met for a breakfast discussion in Bengaluru following direction from the Congress high command. The meeting was held to ease tension within the state unit amid ongoing speculation over leadership and power-sharing arrangements.
Leaders Reiterate Unity In Public
After the meeting, both leaders addressed the media together and emphasised that there were “no differences” between them. They said they were committed to following whatever decision the party high command eventually takes regarding leadership responsibilities.
Core Issue Still Unresolved
Despite the public display of unity, the meeting did not produce a concrete breakthrough on the alleged rotational chief ministership arrangement. Siddaramaiah continues as CM and Shivakumar as Deputy CM, with both leaders expected to travel to Delhi for further consultations with senior Congress leadership.
Party Awaits Final Decision From Delhi
Congress observers say any major decision will come from the central leadership, which is closely monitoring the situation. Until then, the current government structure remains unchanged, even as discussions continue behind the scenes.
