
Justice Prathiba M. Singh Named Chair Of WIPO Board
Justice Prathiba M. Singh of the Delhi High Court has been appointed as the Chair of the World Intellectual Property Organization’s Advisory Board of Judges for the 2025-27 term. This is the first time an Indian judge has been chosen to lead the board.
Career Background
Justice Singh began her legal practice in 1991 and was elevated as a permanent judge of the Delhi High Court in 2017. She also served as the first chair of the Intellectual Property Division of the court, contributing significantly to India’s IP jurisprudence.
