Jan Suraaj Announces Second List of 65 Candidates

Jan Suraaj Party, led by strategist Prashant Kishor, has released its second list of 65 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. With this announcement, the party has declared candidates for a total of 116 seats so far.

Representation Emphasized

The party said the list balances representation across various social groups. It includes 19 candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), 1 from Scheduled Tribes (ST), and 46 from general seats. Many of the nominees come from OBC, EBC, and minority communities.

Notably, Prashant Kishor’s own name is absent from this second list, though he was widely expected to contest from Raghopur.

Strategy and Future Plans

The release of this list is part of Jan Suraaj’s phased strategy for candidate announcements. The party intends to contest all 243 seats in Bihar, with more names likely to be revealed in the coming days. Kishor has emphasized inclusion and local representation in candidate selection.
