Israel’s Defense Minister Calls Khamenei a “Modern Hitler”
In a provocative escalation of Israel’s rhetoric against Iran, Defense Minister Israel Katz has publicly called Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei a “modern-day Hitler,” stating that he “cannot continue to exist.” The remark follows a recent Iranian missile strike that directly hit an Israeli hospital, prompting outrage and urgent calls for retribution across Israel’s political spectrum.
The missile barrage, which included approximately 30 ballistic missiles, targeted civilian and strategic locations across Israel. One of the most significant hits was on Soroka Hospital in Beersheba. Though over 1,000 patients had been evacuated in advance, dozens were injured in the blast, with several remaining in critical condition.
Israel Iran
Speaking from the impact site in Holon, Katz emphasized that Israel would intensify its military operations in response. He accused the Iranian regime of deliberate terror targeting and declared that the time had come for Israel and the international community to acknowledge the threat posed by Khamenei personally.
Katz did not mince words, stating that the Iranian leader’s continued presence represents a direct threat to global peace. His comment that Khamenei “can no longer be allowed to exist” drew immediate attention from diplomatic and military observers.
Khamenei Hitler
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu echoed Katz’s sentiment, also comparing Khamenei to Adolf Hitler in a televised address. Netanyahu suggested that the only way to ensure lasting security for Israel and the broader region was to dismantle the Iranian leadership responsible for orchestrating these strikes. He vowed that Iran would “pay the full price” for attacking civilian infrastructure and crossing what he described as a red line.
Military Rhetoric
With calls growing louder within Israel’s government for a stronger retaliatory stance, reports suggest that the Israeli military is preparing precision strikes on Iranian command and control sites, possibly including high-value targets associated with Iran’s nuclear program. Defense officials emphasized that any further aggression would be met with overwhelming force.
Meanwhile, global diplomatic channels are on high alert. While European capitals are urging restraint, Israel has made it clear that it will determine its course of action independently, focused on what it sees as an existential security threat.
As the region stands on the edge of a broader conflict, Katz’s statement marks one of the most direct public threats by a senior Israeli official against a foreign head of state in decades—escalating tensions to a level not seen since the height of past Middle East wars.
