Israel’s Defence Minister Warns Iran of New Strikes

Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz has issued a strong warning to Iran, stating that Israel will not hesitate to launch another military strike if it feels threatened again. Speaking at a graduation event for the Israeli Air Force, Katz said the country’s “long arm” is capable of reaching the heart of Iran, including cities like Tehran, Tabriz, and Isfahan. He added that if necessary, the next operation would be carried out with even more power than before.

Response to Iranian Threats

This warning comes weeks after Israel conducted a 12-day air campaign against key Iranian military and nuclear sites. The operation, which reportedly involved U.S. coordination, aimed to dismantle facilities believed to support Iran’s growing nuclear programme. The strikes ended following a U.S.-mediated ceasefire declared by President Donald Trump on June 23. Iran, however, has denied that it is developing nuclear weapons, insisting that its programme is for peaceful purposes.

Escalating Tensions and Regional Fallout

Following the Israeli attacks, Iran retaliated by recalling nuclear inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and boosting its missile and air defence systems. Tehran has also warned that it will respond to any further provocations. The situation remains tense, with international observers urging restraint on both sides to prevent wider regional instability.

Israel’s warning signals a readiness to escalate if diplomacy fails. With ongoing threats from Iran-backed groups in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq, military analysts believe Israel is preparing for multiple fronts. The Defence Minister’s statements appear aimed at deterring future attacks and reassuring the Israeli public of the country’s preparedness.
