Israel to Continue Operations Against Hezbollah Despite Lebanon Truce
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that Israel will maintain its operations against Hezbollah, even after the recently negotiated truce deal in Lebanon.
Speaking during a security briefing, Netanyahu emphasized that Israel’s commitment to ensuring national security would not waver in the face of ongoing regional threats.
Lebanon Truce Not a Deterrent
“Israel reserves the right to act against Hezbollah and any terrorist activity that threatens our citizens,” Netanyahu said, highlighting the complex security situation along the Israeli-Lebanese border. Despite the truce aiming to de-escalate tensions in the region, the Israeli leader made it clear that his government views Hezbollah as a persistent and significant threat.
Escalation in Cross-Border Tensions
The announcement follows heightened clashes between Israeli forces and Hezbollah militants in recent weeks. While the truce aims to bring temporary relief, Netanyahu’s remarks signal Israel’s intention to proactively counter potential threats, ensuring the safety of its citizens and maintaining regional stability.
Israel has also urged the international community to address the broader security challenges posed by Hezbollah’s activities, calling for stronger measures to prevent further escalation.
