Israel Supports India’s Operation Sindoor Strikes

In a strong diplomatic statement, Israel has extended full support to India following the latter’s military strikes under Operation Sindoor. The operation, which targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), was carried out in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.

“Israel supports India’s right for self-defense. Terrorists should know there’s no place to hide from their heinous crimes against the innocent,” said Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar.

The Indian Air Force targeted known hideouts of terror outfits including Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen, all of which have a documented history of orchestrating attacks on Indian soil. The operation was executed with precision and restraint, with the Ministry of Defence clarifying that no Pakistani military assets were hit and the focus was solely on terror infrastructure.

Israel’s endorsement comes amid broader international calls for de-escalation. However, unlike other global powers that opted for neutral appeals to restraint, Israel’s response emphasized the legitimacy of India’s actions as self-defense against terrorism.

This show of support reflects the strengthening of Indo-Israeli ties, especially in the area of counter-terrorism and defense cooperation. Over the years, both nations have collaborated closely on intelligence, border security, and strategic defense technologies.

As regional tensions remain high, Israel’s clear and direct backing of India’s right to defend itself signals a deeper geopolitical alignment. It also highlights the urgency for global powers to move beyond rhetorical neutrality and take firmer positions against state-sponsored terrorism.
