Israel Issues Evacuation Warning for Village in Lebanon

Israel has issued an evacuation warning for residents of a village in southern Lebanon ahead of a planned military strike, escalating tensions along the Israel–Lebanon border. The warning was communicated through leaflets and public messages, urging civilians to leave the area immediately for their safety.

Warning Issued Ahead of Anticipated Strike

Israeli authorities said the warning was issued due to the presence of Hezbollah infrastructure in and around the village. The Israeli military stated that the area was being used for hostile activities, making it a potential target for an imminent strike. Residents were advised to move northward and avoid remaining in or near buildings that could be affected by military action.

Such evacuation warnings have become more frequent amid ongoing cross-border exchanges between Israeli forces and Hezbollah fighters. The conflict has intensified in recent months, raising concerns over the safety of civilians living close to the border.

Rising Tensions Along the Border

Southern Lebanon has witnessed repeated airstrikes and artillery fire as hostilities continue, following the broader regional fallout from the Israel–Hamas war. Lebanese authorities have warned that civilian displacement is increasing, with thousands already forced to leave their homes due to security risks.

The United Nations and humanitarian agencies have repeatedly called on all sides to protect civilians and avoid actions that could widen the conflict. While Israel maintains that advance warnings are intended to reduce civilian casualties, local officials say evacuation is often difficult due to limited resources and ongoing insecurity.
