Iran Warns US Against Military Escalation
Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has warned that Tehran will not surrender if the United States escalates the conflict, amid reports of possible American military planning in the region. His remarks came as tensions remained high over the prospect of deeper US involvement in the war.
Iran Issues No Surrender Warning
Qalibaf said Iran would not accept humiliation and insisted the conflict would not end without what he described as victory. He accused Washington of speaking about negotiations in public while preparing for military escalation behind the scenes. The statement was framed as a message both to the United States and to the Iranian public, with a call for continued resistance and mobilisation.
US Ground Operation Fears Raise Tensions
The warning followed reports that the Pentagon is assessing options for possible limited ground missions in Iran if the conflict widens further. According to the report, these discussions include rapid operations targeting missile systems, air defence sites and other strategic assets rather than a full-scale invasion. However, no official US announcement confirming such an operation has been made, and the prospect remains part of a broader escalation debate.
Wider Middle East Conflict Risk Grows
Qalibaf also said Iran and its regional allies remained prepared for a prolonged confrontation. He claimed Iran would continue military resistance and respond strongly to any attempt to force a surrender. The developments have added to concerns that even a limited US military move could trigger a much larger regional conflict, especially given Iran’s repeated warnings of retaliation and the already volatile situation across West Asia.
