Iran Warns Trump After Mojtaba Threat
Iran has issued a sharp warning to US President Donald Trump after his latest remarks against Iran and its new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, adding another layer of tension to an already escalating conflict. The exchange came as both sides hardened their public messaging over military strikes, oil routes and the future direction of the war.
Iran Responds To Trump Warning
Senior Iranian political figure Ali Larijani responded to Trump on social media, saying that even stronger powers had failed to eliminate Iran and warning the US president to watch himself “lest you be eliminated.” The remark was one of Tehran’s strongest direct personal responses yet to Trump’s recent statements and reflected the increasingly hostile tone now shaping the conflict.
Trump Threatens Iran And Mojtaba Khamenei
Trump had earlier warned that Iran would face strikes “twenty times harder” than previous attacks if it tried to block the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz. He also said such action would leave the Islamic republic unable to recover. In separate remarks, Trump targeted Mojtaba Khamenei personally, saying he did not believe Iran’s new leader could “live in peace,” a statement widely read as a direct threat.
Strait Of Hormuz Tensions Deepen Crisis
The exchange comes at a time when the Strait of Hormuz has become central to the crisis. Iran has threatened to block oil exports through the route, while the United States has signalled that any such move would trigger a much harsher military response. With energy markets, shipping routes and regional security all under strain, the war of words is feeding concern about a broader escalation.
The latest statements show how quickly the conflict is becoming more personal as well as more dangerous. With public rhetoric now mixing military threats and leadership warnings, the chances of an early diplomatic breakthrough appear increasingly limited.
