Iran Vows Heavy Price After Israeli Strikes

Iran has warned that Israel will pay a “heavy price” after fresh strikes hit major industrial and nuclear-linked sites, as Tehran said the attacks undermined the diplomatic window set by US President Donald Trump for reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The latest exchange has added fresh pressure to an already widening regional war and raised fears of more retaliation.

Iran Vows Retaliation After Israeli Strikes

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Israel struck two of the country’s largest steel factories, a power plant and nuclear-related facilities. He said Tehran would respond strongly to what he described as Israeli crimes, signalling that the latest attacks may trigger another round of escalation.

Tehran Says Attack Contradicts Trump Deadline

Iran also argued that the strikes contradicted Trump’s extended deadline for diplomacy. Trump had recently delayed a threatened US strike on Iranian energy infrastructure and pushed the deadline for reopening the Strait of Hormuz to April 6, saying talks were progressing. Tehran’s position is that continued Israeli strikes make that diplomatic timeline harder to sustain.

Nuclear And Industrial Sites Hit In Latest Wave

Iranian state-linked reports said the strikes targeted the Shahid Khondab heavy water complex in Arak and the Ardakan yellowcake production facility in Yazd province, along with key industrial assets including steel plants and a power installation. Iranian authorities said there was no radiation leak from the attacked nuclear-related sites. The latest attacks show that the war is no longer confined to military targets alone and is increasingly affecting strategic infrastructure.
