The 12-second clip shows Khamenei seated on a carpet inside a room while speaking with several people around him. He is seen wearing a black turban and light grey robe and does not display obvious signs of severe physical distress in the brief footage.

However, the video does not establish Khamenei’s current medical condition. Iranian media did not disclose when or where the footage was recorded, making it impossible from the clip alone to determine how recent it is.

Trump recently claimed that Khamenei was “90 per cent gone”, while separate reports have described the Iranian leader as being in poor or critical condition. Iran has not confirmed those assessments.

Khamenei Health Rumours Continue

Questions about Khamenei’s condition have persisted because of his limited public visibility. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian recently acknowledged that communicating with him was currently “very difficult”, while saying meetings with the Supreme Leader had nevertheless been productive.

The release of the footage appears aimed at countering speculation surrounding Khamenei’s health. However, because the video is undated, uncertainty over his current condition remains.
