Iran Confirms U.S. Strikes Severely Damaged Nuclear Facilities

In a stark admission, the President of Iran has confirmed that recent United States airstrikes have caused severe structural and operational damage to Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. The revelation comes amid heightened tensions in the region and growing fears of escalation following what Iran is now treating as a direct assault on its sovereign nuclear capabilities.

Iran Nuclear

Addressing the nation, the Iranian President stated that several nuclear facilities suffered “extensive and critical” damage. While exact locations were not disclosed, sources indicate that centrifuge halls, uranium enrichment systems, and auxiliary power structures were all affected. The president remarked, “We can’t even see…”, suggesting the level of devastation made portions of the facilities inaccessible or inoperable.

Tehran has characterized the strikes as a blatant violation of international norms, asserting that the facilities targeted were under civilian supervision and regularly monitored by international agencies.

US Strikes

Iran has vowed to escalate the matter diplomatically and legally. Officials confirmed that complaints will be filed with the International Atomic Energy Agency and the United Nations Security Council. The country’s Foreign Ministry described the attack as “reckless aggression,” warning that it could trigger a destabilizing chain reaction across the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Iran’s armed forces have been placed on heightened alert, with advanced surface-to-air missile batteries repositioned to safeguard remaining nuclear sites and key military zones. The military’s statement warned that Iran “reserves the right to respond at a time and place of its choosing,” though it did not indicate immediate retaliation.

Tehran Response

Despite the gravity of the damage, Iranian leadership has also hinted at diplomatic alternatives. While condemning the strikes, the President mentioned that Iran is still open to negotiations—provided sanctions are lifted and Western powers halt what Tehran sees as provocations and covert sabotage efforts.
