IPL 2025 to Resume on May 17, Final on June 3

The BCCI has officially announced that the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League will resume on May 17. The tournament had been temporarily suspended following escalating national security concerns, but with the situation now stable, the league is set to return with full force. The final match has been scheduled for June 3.

A total of 17 matches remain in the season, including 13 league games and four playoff fixtures. Matches will be hosted across six major venues—Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.

The tournament was suspended on May 9 after a match in Dharamsala was abandoned due to security threats. Following a rapid review and coordination with security and administrative agencies, BCCI cleared the path for resumption, citing a stable environment.

Teams are in the process of regrouping and reassembling their squads, especially with international players set to return for the final leg. Franchise operations, training camps, and logistical preparations are already underway.
