
IndiGo Returns to Kochi After Technical Snag Mid-Air
An IndiGo flight (6E-1403) from Kochi to Abu Dhabi was forced to return to Cochin International Airport mid-air due to a technical snag. The Airbus A320neo departed at 11:10 pm on Friday and landed back safely at 1:44 am on Saturday after flying for over two hours.
Passengers Safe
The aircraft was carrying more than 180 passengers and six crew members. All were safely deboarded. IndiGo quickly arranged an alternative aircraft and crew, which took off around 3:30 am to resume the journey to Abu Dhabi.
Airline’s Statement
IndiGo confirmed that the return was a precautionary measure following the detection of the snag. The airline stated that its engineering team is carrying out necessary inspections and maintenance. Passengers were provided meals and refreshments during the delay, and the airline apologized for the inconvenience caused.
