IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Lucknow
An IndiGo flight bound for Bagdogra in West Bengal made an emergency landing in Lucknow after a mid-air security scare, officials said. The aircraft was diverted as a precaution following the discovery of a suspicious note onboard during the flight.
Passengers Evacuated Safely
The plane landed safely at Lucknow airport, where all passengers and crew were evacuated without incident. There were no injuries reported. Authorities moved the aircraft to an isolated bay as part of standard security protocol.
Security Checks Conducted
Bomb disposal and security teams carried out a thorough search of the aircraft and luggage. After extensive checks, no explosive material was found and the threat was declared a hoax. Airport operations were not significantly disrupted during the exercise.
Probe Launched
Police have registered a case against unknown persons and launched an investigation to trace the source of the threat. Officials said strict action will be taken against those responsible for causing panic and disrupting flight operations.
