IndiGo, Air India Warn Of Delays After A320 Glitch
IndiGo, Air India and Air India Express have alerted passengers about possible delays after a technical glitch impacted a large number of Airbus A320-family aircraft. The issue, linked to potential corruption of flight-control data, has prompted aviation regulators to mandate immediate software and hardware updates on affected jets.
Majority Of Indian A320 Fleet Under Inspection
India operates around 560 A320-family aircraft, and regulators estimate that between 200 and 350 of them require urgent updates before they can resume full operations. As of Saturday morning, more than half of the affected planes had already been cleared after receiving the required fixes, though turnaround times remain longer than usual.
Airlines Issue Travel Advisories
IndiGo and Air India have asked passengers to regularly check flight statuses and expect potential schedule changes. While no major cancellations have been announced, the airlines warned that some flights may face extended ground time until all updates are completed. Both carriers said they are coordinating closely with authorities to ensure timely restorations.

The directive follows a global safety review triggered by a recent overseas incident involving A320 flight-control systems.
