This massive engagement has propelled digital platforms to become the largest segment of India’s media and entertainment industry, overtaking traditional television for the first time. The total valuation of the sector touched ₹2.5 lakh crore (around $29 billion), driven largely by on-demand content, social media consumption, and mobile gaming.
